Default Currently in NZ - moving to Oz - validate Visa

Hi all,
I have a PR visa which I have to "validate" before July this year (first entry date).

Q1) I am currently living in NZ. I have a business trip that I need to make Tuesday next week - i.e. this is a day trip - would that be enough to count as validating my visa?

Q2) As another issue: I have a PR visa which was state sponsored for NSW. Is it ok to validate my visa by flying in and out of Brisbane?

It says this on my grant, so I am guessing that I am ok:
You must make your first entry to ***Australia*** before 21 July 2012. It is not possible to change this date.

Q3) I should declare I presume that I am a resident of Australia (or NSW, at least) if requested on any inbound documentation?

Many thanks old friends.

You validate by simply arroving and going through Immigration. You can then leave again on the next plane if you wish. You can validate anywhere, doesn't have to be the sponsoring State. Your entry card will ask if you are visiting or permanently migrating, doesn't matter which answer you put.
