Congratulations, that is great news for you, you must be relieved.
I would say the Easter Holidays will put an added delay onto applications fromthis week on, hopefully things will speed up after that though.
Best of luck with your new life down under

Hi All. We hope this will give you guys some hope- my husband's visa was granted today!!!! So it looks like the gates to January applications might be opening (we submitted ours on the 18th of January)! I must admit, we did very gently push our case officer (we rang him a couple of times and sent one or two emails asking if we could help things along from our end to assist the process). The fact that I had a job lined up and we told them the dates our flights were booked for did seem to spur him on, especially as he admitted himself that our application was quite straightforward.
Olly- keep the faith, I wouldn't be surprised if you got yours soon and you may still be able to resign in May (depending on your notice period)
Good luck and thanks for your help.

I agree- our bugging was very strategic and very very infrequent. It also depends on when the application was put in. Not sure if it was a factor but our first case officer had indicated that current processing times were 8 weeks so perhaps his replacement felt he should process it within a time period as close to that as he could. Good luck with your application and to everyone else as well.
