got a nasty email from my agent re police checks hubby and son have crimminal record son didnt even know was in complete shock just found out he has 2 eighty pound fines and a drunk and disordly at 17 great! hubby didnt think to mention has car offence some 29 yrs ago still waiting for details.apparently it is archives and takes up to 40 days to get his details of offence, have to explain to immigration why i didnt tell them with a statutary decerlation. Q what do u say and do i have to forward the infomation i have recieved from the police. i have had no support from my agent only a nasty email basicly telling to fill in the form and why didnt you disclose it. everything else has been passed by co, as well cant believe it!! whats the chances of not getting in, my agent just said it is up to immigration? well fed up!!

You just tell them the truth - there was no deliberate attempt to mislead DIAC. There will be no problem as the offence is singular, minor and a very long time ago for your husband and your son's two convictions were as a minor and minor, if you know what I mean.

So be totally open and frank in your explanatory declaration and relax.

this is the second time you have helped me, why didnt i go on expats sooner before i signed up to this rubbish agent, then i could have had some one who speaks common sense, and knows his job. i will let you know when his archive finally arrives.
