Default Costs for Australia

I have been quoted by "****************" that to enter australia (visa approved) it will cost me roughly £4000. For those unawares, they are firm of immigration lawyers and accountants that helps people obtain successful visa outcomes. They explained on the phone to me last wk they will charge me £150 to prepare my report for a student visa plus advice throughout my journey..i think. Being very wet behind the ears with all this, although i am really prepared to pay whatever it takes, i dont want to be ripped off in anyway as every £ will count.

Any advice regards these matters would be really helpfull for me

Hi there

The whole process is very daunting however you will find lots of advice and help on the BE website. Now that visa's can be processed online, alot seem to prefer that option and it does seem to be quicker. Check that any company you use is regulated as there have been some horror stories of customers being ripped off.
We are currently applying for state sponsorship and are using a company that is regulated.

Hope this has been of some help

Lia

Was looking at these guys ourselves!
The fact you cannot print their name should give you an idea! I done a search on here today after recievin a letter that sounded to good to be true, and apparently they asked for company not to be mentioned.( Check out for yourself)
If you are going the student visa route it looks straight forward enough to do it your self. ( approx £210 for visa, not counting your course costs) If you are looking for pr then go for a course over 2 yrs that is on modl.
If you are looking at an agent go for the guys who post on here, they all have good reputations,
Hope this helps
Michele

I dont know what MODL stands for but it refers to Occupations in Demand - things like Electricians, Midwives, Nurse's, Welders.
There is a list of all MODL jobs on the australian embassy website. Also you supposed to get your visa faster on a MODL rather than a non Demand job but as I'm sure most will agree in reality its not necessarily the case!

We're using Go Matilda as our Agents and they have been fab so far - also we've paid less than your quote... PM for more info if you like.

I'd agree with that. There were lots of visa's granted before ours that had been lodged after ours & were not MODL
