could anyone please advise who are eligible to sponsor the above mentioned
visa application

Children who are "settled" in Australia can sponsor their parents who also satisfy the "balance of family test."

"Settled" usually means that the sponsor has lived in Australia as a citizen or a permanent resident for the last 2 years.

Hi Ned,

If the parents are overseas the parents don't need to be "aged". Otherwise,
you should consult the DIMIA site carefully, this is one of the few areas
where the Department offers really helpful information on its website.
Otherwise, go to www.iarc.asn.au for comprehensive explanations of this
category.
