Hi all,
So far I have submitted Meds & PCC two times and now again CO asking to submit Meds & PCC.
1s time Jan 2008 Front Loaded Meds & PCC along with 175 application.
Online Status:
31/01/2008 Health requirements finalised
31/01/2008 Health requirements outstanding
2nd time July 2009: CO asked for Meds & PCC along with work proofs.
Online Status:
23/06/2009 Further medical results received
23/06/2009 HIV blood test received
Now again CO asking me to submit Meds & PCC. Whereas, as shown above, still latest status of Meds are "received" and not "finalized"
I am not willing to send 3rd time. Reason:
1: Already submitted twice
2: Lot of money investment for Medicals.
3: CO didn't took any action on Meds and on my case after receiving 2nd time. What is the guarantee that he will not ask for Meds 4th time ?
I am confused, please guide.
Thanks
Bye,
Peace

The first time is irrelevant as the department advises against front loading medicals and PCC, so this was your choice. However perhaps it is worth pointing out to your CO that you provided medicals in June last yeat at the request of the CO and ask if these can be extended?
I don't think whether it says received of finalized is the point here, sometimes status is not updated.

Agreed. Please ask the CO to extend the validity and if that is not possible then ask CO whether your application is really at final stage waiting for decision based on Meds and PCC.

If your Meds are not extended, go get the Meds again. This time its for the visa grant!
First time, it was your call.
Second time, may be CO's stipulated time was not enough and you didn't get the grant within the stipulated time.
Third time, well its the requirement, so you get it done and get the visa :-)

Hi all,
Ok I have requested CO to extend medical results but he is saying that police clearance is already expired and medicals will also expire by Jan. Therefore, provide meds and PCC in order to continue with application.
Now my worry (which is honest) that what is the surety that my app will be finalized this time and CO will not ask for meds and PCC ? I am bit reluctant for investing again on same thing.
Thanks

You normally have to validate the visa before the meds/pcc expire, so it's not just about when the visa will be granted, but also about the length of time the CO can give till you validate the visa.
As it stands, it sounds like you have 2 choices:
1. Do as CO asks and
get the visa granted within the next few months, and move to Australia.
OR
2. Don't do what CO asks, don't get the visa granted and don't move to Australia.
After all the time, effort and money you have already invested, it seems like a no-brainer?! I sure know which option I would pick!
Did your risk of frontloading against DIAC advice actually pay off? No. Is it annoying that the CO has asked for the meds/pccs twice? Yes. Is there a guarantee that you won't be asked to submit a third time? No. Is it worth throwing away everything you have done so far cause you're annoyed that the CO has asked twice for the meds/pcc? Probably not.
