Citizenship application: Online vs Paper
Hi,
I'm thinking of applying for citizenship in 2 months time. Can somebody advice what method is easier, online or paper ?
Hope experienced members can advise me.
Thanks.
Muditha.

Hi Muditha,
I would definitely advise you to go for Online. It is a hassle free process. You only need to have a Credit Card to pay the application fee online. DIBP will take care of the rest and will inform you when your test date is and then your ceremony.
Good luck

agree with the last poster; another point to bear in mind is that a paper application requires documents to be certified - the online application only requires scanned copies of the requested documents and you then take the originals along to your appointment.
All-in-all, if you can lodge online, it is a much simpler process

Hi Rhubarb65,
I assume the supporting documentation required for online is same as paper based ???

From recollection, the documentary requirements are the same; the only difference is that online applications don't need supporting documents to be certified - you scan and upload them, then take the originals to your citizenship appointment for verification
