Default Child Migraiton -Permanent and temporary visa(s)

Hi,

I want to apply for my kids visa.

What are the differences between the permanent and temporary visa(s).

I notice that the temporary visa is valid for the duration of my
(parent) visa.

What are the strings attached to this visa if any?

I had applied for my kid's passport and is yet to arrive and i noticed
that the forms for both permanent and temporary visas do not seem to
require any passport related information (of the kid)

Appreciate any assistance.

Hi Manglu,

Not entirely clear to me what you're talking about - you'd need to discuss the circumstances in a bit more detail and explain what visa you hold. Others may have instant recognition of the circumstances and perhaps the Christmas fog has settled early here. Perhaps you could tell me what forms you're looking at, for example.

Cheers,

George,

I have a PR which is valid till 2008.

My kid was born after i obtained the PR.

The form 40CH and 47CH refer to the application of a PR for child
migration.

The ohter visa that i am referring to is:
http://www.immi.gov.au/migration/fam...dent_child.htm

I think this visa is not applicable to be (my mistake did not realize
that i do not meet the sub class category)

Thanks,
Manglu

Manglu,

Read Booklet 2 at www.immi.gov.au from cover to cover, all your questions are answered there. The temporary visa you've discovered only relates to the children of temporary partner visas.

George,

Thanks.

I have a few more questions and those are in particular related to info
present in this site:
http://www.ttsaustraliavisas.com/Che...eckList101.htm

It contains entries like:
(1) Original birth certificate for each applicant. If an applicant does
not have a birth certificate, a school certificate bearing the date of
birth will be accepted
(2) Evidence that your sponsor has been supporting you financially for
your daily basic needs e.g, receipts of money transfers.
(3) Evidence of your contact with the sponsor e.g, letters wih and
cards with original envelopes, itemized telephone accounts, evidnce of
any e-mail correspondence.

Item 1 above state original birth certificate while the Child Migraton
booklet states explicitly that Originals should not be sent along with
the application.

Item 2 does not make sense to me. The kid is 5 months old and living
with me so what sort of evidence do i provide?

Item 3 same as Item 2 (what sort of evidence are these folks expecting)

Appreciate any help.
Manglu
