Certified Copys fro Germany ?
What is the cheapest way to get certified copys of german documents?

Hello Mw,
the TownHall (Rathaus) is allowed to certify copies for all original docs from state
institutions like university, FH, BA,... - last year they charged 2,5 EUR or 5 DM per
document - I brought the copies with
me.But you have to translate the documents and you are required to use a sworn
translator (in german "vereidigter übersetzer") and they charge after a standard
norm line - whatever that means - it is quite expensive. I paid about 200 EUR
for everything (ACS and Embassy docs). Maybe that could be cheaper in Oz - I
don't know.
