Certified Copies in Surbiton area for less than £5 per copy???
Having read this NG for a while, I thought I'd contact Kingston Magistrates
Court (I'd read that they can do it cheaper/free) to find out what they
charge for certified copies - as local solicitors all want £5 per signature.
Don't know why I bothered - they charge £8 for the first one and then £3 for
every copy after that.
Sigh.... :-(

The local solicitor did one certified copy for me when I formed my own company which cost £5, if they just have to sign to witness details etc they only charge £2.50.
People should watch what they are asking to get certified and what they are charged. Like some people say a they have a certifed copy of their work details but this is just a copy of your own work so would not be Certifiable etc etc. They can witness this as you swear under oath that it is your work.

How many copies have you got?
I'm in New Malden for most of the next two weeks - happy to discuss a rate less than you've been charged so far, and as a member of the ICAA I can certify documents for DIMIA and skills assessment purposes ...
Best regards.

Alan,
We are still putting all our info together (which will hopefully be done by
the end of the week) and we will know exactly how many we need then -
although I suspect it is around 30-40 all up. Perhaps you could email me
directly at mickjf at hotmail dot com ?

Phone around all your local solicitors explaining how many copies you've got and say you'll do the copying first. Our prices ranged from £8 per sheet (at the magistrates court) to £5 per signature (at some local solicitors) to £20 cash for the lot (another local solicitors).

Generally I'm in Australia, so we can't offer this service I'm afraid - unless clients are happy to send the original papers to me ...
Best regards.
Best regards.
