We are wondering if anyone can help tell us how long centrelink take to contact the assurer. We have been asked for our med/police reports and they were sent off 3 weeks ago. I gather there is a backlog with centrelink but I dont know how long. We would be grateful for any help.

When was your assurors details passed to centrelink? My details were sent in Sept. and my assuror has not heard anything yet. When my sister contacted centrelink she was told there were approx 10,000 applications waiting to be processed and centrelink were supposed to have done this by the end of October (fat chance). On previous threads I have seen most people waiting between 4-8 weeks. I also think pre/post July are being processed at different times. So if your post July your probably likely to be waiting a shorter period unlike me as I am pre July.
