I received an email yesterday from a case officer stating:
"I am now the person handling your application"

I am at the end of the process, all papers and checks already sent, just waiting for pre-grant.
Is the officer change a normal situation ?

No idea about whether it is that common, but there must be times that somebody leaves, gets promoted, rotated, even fired, and somebody else picks up the case. I wouldn't worry.

Looks like your case is nearly complete, so thats good news.

This also happened to us, our case officer was re-assigned to deal with a
different visa category.
