Default Can you change 176 from family to state sponsored?

I applied for a family sponsored 176 in October. I could have applied for state sponsored but thought family sponsored would be better due to right to appeal. My occupation is not on the new CSL list but is on the skills shortage list for sponsorship by Victoria. Would it be possible to change current application to state sponsored instead of family sponsored as I will still be applying for the same visa? From the sounds of the information released it would speed up my application and possibly give me a greater chance of it being granted if I could change. Would be grateful for any information.

Anyone?

Would it be possible for me to apply for state sponsorship and if successful add this to my current application possibly but completing a change of circumstances form?

Instead of bumping a thread only 8 hours old you could either A) be more patient and wait for an answer or B) contact a MARA registered migration agent who could answer your question immediately. If you haven't received an answer yet it could be that nobody here knows the answer.

I am in the process of contacting a Marra registered agent to try and get an answer for my question. I will let people know if I get an answer. I only bumped the thread because I thought I may have not explained my question clearly enough and wanted to clarify it by mentioning the change of circumstances form, not because I am impatient.

Thank you for your postive comment Lucierainbow. I also think a few people will be interested in the question and hope we will get a positive answer.

Hello,
I am confused about the answer. I think there may be a possibility but before that you need to confirm a state nomination. In the meantime you can ask it to DIAC.
Whatever the result may be, please don't forget to reply.
Best of luck.
