Calling all nurses
Any nurses out there who have recently applied for visas, have you heard anything from DIMIA yet? It all seems quite unnervingly quiet at the minute or is this normal for the time of year?

Hi Arlene,
we've gone for a 136. Applied at the end of July and not heard a thing.
My husband is itching to get the house on the market and I am trying to hold him back.

Just sending off the ANCI assessment details. I am a mental health nurse so hope it's still straight forward.
Hope you hear soon (then I'll have an idea so to how long mine will take).

ANC assessment
I received positive assessment results 7 weeks after I sent my application for. For most it takes between 4 weeks to 8 weeks to receive a reply from ANC.
About 2 months ago I contacted some nurses who gave me good info. One of them had her visa granted 10 months after applying; another had her skilled migrant visa granted 3 months after applying.
However, don't be too concerned!! Nurses' applications are often fast tracked because of the major, critical shortage of nurses.

that assessment waiting time seems long, mine only took 10 days i guess it depends on getting your transcript of training from the school u trained at
