Hi, maybe if you explain your situation, you may get more response? Are you in the UK, or in Australia and what visa are you looking to get?

Hubby did cabinetmaking at TAFE, on a student visa. He fortunately got taken on full time by the company he did his work experience with throughout his course. I believe that it is pretty difficult to get work here on the Gold Coast? A couple of the guys have managed to get fitting work though.

I have heard here is more work in South Australia and Victoria, as a fair few on the courses that finished before hubby, and some on his course had to head in that direction to get work. As far as sponsorship goes, have not heard of anyone looking for or getting it.

Good luck
Mandy

Hi speaking for Sydney do a jobs serch i would say to secure a good cabinetmaker in todays economy would be quite difficult to say the least so i would think ,as for sponsorship i would think you would need to be in Australia to secure a good company , and in my experience there are some shocking and some good like everywere , standards hear are not as high as you will find at home there are lots of white box making joints run by Asian labour you would not work in for all the tea in India because of the poor conditions
Good luck
