Default BUYING A HOUSE

Hi,

Currently using a migration agent to process application (looking to emigrate to
Melbourne). How do you go about arranging a Mortgage and what is the process involved
e.g. are you credit checked? (do they check UK records?), how long do you have to be
employed and how long do you need to live there?

Thanks.

I think that you need to get clearance to buy a property (unless you have permanent residence status).

The Foreign Investment Review Board are the body that does this, and you have to apply to them before you buy.

Hope this helps a bit, although it's only part of the procedure I'm sure.
