i may be abit chilly in a frog costume...though my kids will say i look like one anyway! why dont we all bring something to do with oz, i.e toy kangaroo, koala, spider?? it will certainly make it entertaining, if not for us, the locals will prob call in the white coats!
anyone bringing kids?

Good idea -I was wondering how we know who is who - thought we might find ourselves sat at a table for an hour chatting to someone only to realise that they are not there for an expat meet up !! that would be embarassing !
see you on the 12th

Count us in.....Rach, Ba, and kids 3,6 and 9 my oldest would love to meet some other kids that are going.

Maybe I should wear a pink carnation,or whoever gets there first just tell the barman where you are sitting then everyone else can ask the barman!

Never need an excuse to go to the bar...and I can walk home woohoo!!

Cheers

I think we should also have a secret handshake - just like the masons, might be a laugh shaking hands with lots of strangers

Funky Chicken is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Re: Bristol/South West Meet!

Yep, I agree, it would be great for the kids to get together. When it looked like we may be going soon my son said that "he didn't really want to go but would if it would make me happy". I think he does want to go but is a little nervous of the whole idea. Meeting other kids is going to help.

Taking something azzie is a great idea - do you think Bristol Zoo will lend me a kangaroo for the evening?

Chris.

I've been lurking for a bit, not posting much. However I'd like to come as well on 12/02, about time I became a bit more active!

Live in Cirencester, awaiting bond request on a 136, if all goes well expect to be in Sydney this year.

regards

alex

I've dropped a note to my brother/sister in law (bindird) and other family members who are also emigrating to see if they are interested.
