Default Bringing Computer Software.

Hi..

What is the regulation about pirated software in Australia?

I come from Indonesia which license regulation isn't too straight and
intend to bring all my application CDs (unlicense) to Australia when I
got my VISA. It doesn't mean I want to sell them, just for my personal
needs of those software and what about copied Music CDs?

Does the immigration check on this thing and does it will get me in
trouble? Is it better to bring the CDs along with me (hand carry) or
send them by courier?

Thanks.

why don't you buy some big hard drives and put all the stuff on your
pc?? even if you take some uninstalled hard drives with you nobody
will ever install and check what is stored on them. I mean at least it
is not that eye-catching as 2 cases of CD'S with ripped software....

A couple of weeks ago I came to Australia via Bangkok and brought over a few Xbox games (some not realised in Australia yet). They were in my hand luggage and there were no problems. My boyf often works in K.L and our DVD/PC/Xbox collection is quite large now, we've always been okay.
I think there is a difference between having a dozen or so CD's for your own use, to suitcase loads to sell off.

The idea of a larger harddrive is a good one though
