Hiya lads n lasses.
Its been a while since ive been on here as Ive been enjoying my time in the UK (believe it or not!) with my australian girlfriend. The time has come where my girlfriend is heading back to Perth as she has a good job offer. I am going to follow on in March initially for some time out with her. I am aware since I last looked at the visa process nearly 2 years ago things have changed and I'd appreciate any advice, recommended sites etc. Im a 37 year old bricklayer, fit as a fiddle and whilst Perth would be great both myself and my partner would happily settle in Queensland as I loved it out there and she would love to live that way. Im aware of the partner visa but we both see that as a couple of years off. Whats the work situation like? How long is visa process taking nowadays? Whats the average cost? Is there any possibilities of sponsorship? Any help advice and advice would really be appreciated. Sorry for my ignorance in not keeping uptodate with things but any pointers would be great as there is so much internet/bad advice out there.
