Being assessed as an engineering manager

Being assessed as an engineering manager
Im looking into ways my OH can be assessed ready for applying for a visa.
My husband is in the army and is as high as you can get with out being an officer. Because of his trade he had thought he could be assessed as an mechanical engineer but the info on DIAC dosen't conform to what he does, neither does the mechanic info either. As he is considered senior management in the army can his skills be assessed as an engineering manager through AIM (Australia Insitute of management) only or does it have to be through Engineers Australia? He does not have a formal degree but years of experience and plenty of NVQ up to level 5 and an HNC in engineering. on DIAC it gives both assessors . Im sure he could pass if he only has to have AIM assess him
Im getting a little confused as to who can assess him.
We were intially going through the lateral army transfer system but since not hearing anything back from them about his skills assessment they were doing and time not being on our side (he is out of the army in April and will be 40), we thought we best put a plan B together.
Any one offer any suggestions.
Mandy

Re: Being assessed as an engineering manager
Hi Mandy,
Sorry, I really can't help you with the visa, but what about asking a good agent using the hour free consultation (if they offer this service)? I don't know if agents on here offer this either
It might open more doors for you is what I was thinking.
Good luck,
J x
