Default Basic question on immigration

I am 44, have three children and wife, have been to Oz 3 times on holidays, have assets which will translate into a lot of cash, am a qualified plumber and qualifies Quantity Surveyor but failed my Vetassess exam last month.

We are very keen to move over to Oz but probably to run a small motel/lodging etc but we are willing to work at anything.

It's a broad question I know but has anyone any ideas for us (and yes we have trawled through the Immigration sites etc).

Thanking you in advance

David

Idea for what precisely?
Type of job?
Type of visa?
Investment options?

Basically any ideas on how we could be accepted - which route would be open to us since I have failed the Vetassess test and we are keen to emigrate. As I said, I am a qualified plumber and Quantity Surveyor and need to know what Visa to go for and yes, we would have money to invest.

Hope that helps and thanks for your interest.

In this sort of situation you really do need to pay for some professional advice. What you will get from a forum like this is lots of well-intentioned advice which all too frequently is just plain wrong.

Any migration agent worth their salt will give you a free, initial consultation to go over your options.

Re-sit the Vetassess. Then apply for your skilled visa as a plumber. Once you have a 175 you can do whatever suits your fancy.
