Background checks
Hi all,
I am in the process of hopefully transfering to the Aussie Navy. I wondered if anyone know what exactly happens with background checks.
I have absolutely no criminal record, but my credit record is pretty shot to pieces due to ex wives/partners.
I know that doesnt sound good, but most of it is historical now.
Any tips would be gratefully receieved.

I've only heard of them doing a criminal background so unless the poor credit is relating to fraud or anything, I think you'll be fine

it is my understanding as the other reply states that your credit record is not investigated
unless you have a criminal record over it i wouldn,t worry
