B&B, Motel, Hotel or Lodge........
We (my husband, 3 year old son and myself) are moving to Wellington some time in
August, can anyone suggest of a good place to stay till we can sort out a house
(rental)? Somewhere safe, clean and reasonably cheap. Somewhere that is easy to get
into the city centre. I have looked in the yellow pages but everywhere looks nice
form the outside. And I would really like somewhere that is child friendly and safe.
Any advice would be a help.
Thanks
Emily

On 18 May 2002, Phil was seen to have posted this wee note into
nz.reg.wellington.general, to which I have responded as follows:

Define "cheap"
is $120 +GST per night cheap in your eyes?
That's the weekday cost for clean, quiet rooms in a budget-priced hotel in central
Wellington.

We arrived in Wgtn a couple of months ago, and we stayed at the Apollo Motel on
Majoribanks Street whilst we found permanent accom. Very clean, quiet and
v. helpful proprietors, and handy for the city too. http://www.apollolodge.co.nz/

We stayed at Ruby House, http://www.heritageinns.co.nz/ruby.house/ it was very
convenient, and Elizabeth has some children of her own, so would most likely be very
amenable to children.
