avoiding no further stay restriction on temp visa
Hi,
My situation is that a company based in Australia wants me to fly over for
an interview but their lawyers advised to apply for the visa that doesn't
have 'no further stay' restriction on it so that if they will decide to hire
me, they can apply for long stay business visa locally in order to save cost
and time on traveling.
Is it something embassy issue randomly or I should apply for specific visa?
Holiday? Business? Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Art

Hi Artur,
The 8503 condition is common for visitor visas from non-western countries.
It is applied quite arbitrarily and there's little you can do apart from
presenting very well; helps if you obviously have a good job and lots of
relatives to return to. The lawyers should be advising you about the 8503,
of course...
Cheers

Re: avoiding no further stay restriction on temp visa
Thanks! I assume that I have better chances to avoid this condition by being
invited by the company and apply for business visa rather than relatives and
getting holiday visa?

Re: avoiding no further stay restriction on temp visa
Hi Art,
Possibly the best way is just showing a letter inviting you to an interview
and applying for a 456 visa, but be sure to show evidence of your current
employment when you apply.
