Could someone give me the exact (legal) definition of "Australian Qualification"
please ? Is a NAATI test taken (and passed) overseas be considered an "Australian
Qualification" within the Migration Act, thereby exempting the applicant from the
"Recent work experience" component of assessment ? *
--------------------------------------
* Provided application is made within 6 months of qualifying, of course.

Hi Khurshid bhai,
Buy the kit or check the legislation. It is all about completing a qualification at a
particular level after at least of one year of study in Australia. Your NAATI test
certainly won't qualify without a degree or diploma preceding it. And on the question
of whether you can get a 60 point occupation with just the NAATI test, I am sorry not
to have got back to you, and hope to soon.

Hi Khurshid,

No, that's unfortunately out of date with respect to a lot of skilled visa issues.
But the DIMIA booklet No. 6 is where I would start.
Cheers
