Hi all,
is it true that Australian Police checks take 2 months at the moment
!? I was counting on about 3 weeks ! This is really going to delay
everything !

I have just received my oz police checks back - 2 months to the exact day from when I posted them (it was probably my post you read about it taking 2 months). I chased them after 6 weeks and was told there was a backlog and worse case scenario they could take 8-9 weeks including posting. They advised me to resend them marked for somebody or others attention and she said she would do it straight away and then they'd send the other money order back when they got to it. True to their word they turned the 2nd app round straight away - still haven't had the other back. I know how you feel as it's put me 2 months behind as case officer said it was all she waiting for before requesting bond so I'd probably have known by now!! Not to worry. for your information:

I just received an email from the Federal Police in Canberra about the
Police Clearance certificates. They have a backlog of about 23000
applications. Today they are processing requests from the 20th of Feb
this year...

Hello there, sorry if i'm firing this in the wrong direction but i'm after some advice on transfering from the Police in Greater Manchester ,where i currently serve, to one of the Australian forces.

I've not been able to find any sense anywhere else and i was hoping to call on the experience of others who have already looked into it.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
