Aussie Police Checks Update
Just to offer some kind of timeline for those of you with (long standing) pending Australian police check requests...
I submitted my application from the UK on March 20th and finally received it back today, June 16th. Interestingly enough my cheque was cashed on May 10th and the letter is dated May 8th.
I have heard that they still have a massive backlog of old requests but are processing new applications much quicker to avoid it getting any worse (seems unfair to me too.) All I can suggest for any of you who submitted a request around the same time as me is to keep phoning them - I rang three times in total. The number (previously supplied by another member JayneS) is 02 6287 0791.
And anyone who even just thinks they MAY need an Aussie Police check done....get that form in the post NOW!!!!!
