I am joining this thread very late.. I also applied in August 2005 , Ack on 1st Sep and Have Not heard anything back from DIMIA...waiting for PCC and Med Request. Hope top get it in Jan 06 ...

only catching up here, sorry to hear this Rooksie. Did i hear somewhere
that if they recieved the documents in Adelaide then they give you it
as recieved? even if they lose it? So did you get confirmation of DHL?
Will the doctor just send another med form? I sent my police clearance
and they lost them. Have to get another copy. Sounds simple but the
last one took me 2 months and we have christmas in between this so
AGGGHHHH. These things are sent to test us. Keep the chin up we will
all laugh about this soon.

hi - unless they turn up i have booked daughter in for a further med next wednesday with original GP who will do it free of charge. however i believe he should have kept records of the meds and had that been the case then the records would have sufficed.

Had my meds last week and doctor made it clear to me that he would keep
no records of anything. Once he gets the x-rays back he will post
everything off and it is in Sydneys hands. Bit suprised at that but
there you go. Maybe he was just covering himself in case they get lost.
He did our 7 medicals in less than an hour, handy money isnt it....Got
in touch with case officer and i got the impresion that once she gets
meds and PCC thats it. Like i said though living in Ireland PCC took 2
months. Not pushed on the time but would be nice to know if in or not.
Thought it would have been finished before christmas for us but never
mind.

As i said it seemed strange to me what he said. Bit hectic at the time
with the kids pulling the surgery apart but when i got home i thought
it was weird. Then i read what happened to Rooksie and thought maybe he
was trying to cover himself. Maybe he dosnt want me to ring him and
chase him up regarding my visa? Although he told us the medicals were
fine and he would ring me Wednesday when he gets the x rays back to
verify all was posted and passed. I will ask him again if he keeps
records.
