Default ASPC Processing update.

Hmmm...Just a thought, but if you read this on latest update, its possible that all CSL applications on the old list upto yesterdays announcement could already have been allocated to a CO...

"Applications are being processed in date of lodgement order. The ASPC expects to have commenced processing of all CSL applications held by this office by the end of May 2009."

It now doesn't say anything about allocating...
What do you think??? Or am i clutching at straws here???

After all didn't they say appliactions currently allocated would not be affected??

Say what .. there has to be a reason for why would they change the text of that email ... for the same period (march 9), it earlier read :

'Applications with Occupations on the Critical Skills List (CSL): Applications are being allocated in date of lodgement order. All CSLapplictions are expected to be allocated to case officers by end of May2009.' .. which has now been changed to what you've posted..

Surely, there HAS TO BE a reason why they'd take the ttrouble of editing the text ??

That's last week's update though, so pre-new CSL announcements. I don't think you can read anything into it. Wait until this week's update and see what that says.

you've got me wrong ..

I have 2 emails from ASPC in my inbox .. I had one earlier in the week, and this one's just come out now.. Both of them read the same date 09 March!

So what I'm saying is that they've just altered the text of the 9March response, and have not actually issued a new more recent update.. Of course we'll have another for March 16 but it hasn't come out as yet..

The fact that they edited the text in the current email rather than just revising the whole thing for next week and let it be for the 9 march one ?

WHY would they ? There has to be a reason..

Last week's [email protected] dated 9th March 09
Applications are being allocated in date of lodgement order. All CSLapplictions are expected to be allocated to case officers by end of May2009

obviously they changed the contains of the email but they don't update the date? this is some how very weird, from a very promising statement(like what happened to ENS and SS pre Feb 09) to uncertainty statement on how the CSL process going to be.

I don't think I've misunderstood you.

Yorkshire Clan - I don't think that sentence reads as though all CSL applications have been allocated - I think it reads as though they will all be sitting with a case officer by the end of May.

The edited text on the later version of the 9th March update sounds to me (as someone who writes for a job) like they've had several queries relating to their phrasing of the sentence so they've reworded it accordingly.

I had a very basic question:

once you have sent the documents for skill assessment, can u add any more document to the case number? say for example if you apply for ACS and in between you take up and get certified on one of the certifications mentioned in MODL, can one include that in the existing file opened?

Thanx in advance.

Surely "Commenced Processing" == "Allocated to Case Officers" ???

They probably changed the wording cause people expect to have their Visa by May, not just a Case Officer (A visa can still take months to be processed after a CO is allocated).

I reckon DIAC are getting so many emails that they have to reply to etc that it's keeping them from working on the visas and they are trying to reword things to minimise these queries.

Yeah! I think Axe is right.

Commencing of processing mean the same thing i.e. allocation to case officer.

In other word application processing is commenced once it is allocated to case officer. And offcourse visa grant will take time depending on individual circumstances.

Hello Alvtavista,

The day I submitted my aplication..my status is like this:

"Application received - processing commenced"

I don't think Case officer will be allocated on the very first day and also I know no CO is being allocated for year 2009 applicants ...

I lodged in Aug-2008 and from the second day such message appears on my status area.

This is the general message which displays with every application.

Application generally commenced once it is allocated to case officer and this is what DIAC mentioned in their update email.

They just changed the text to clear confusion.
