apply for a TFN online?
Is there any mechanism by which an Australian citizen who holds an
Australian passport, but who has never really lived in Australia
and does not have a TFN, can apply for a TFN online?
There is an online registration form for 'temporary visitors' and
'permanent migrants', however, there isn't anything said about
Aussie citizens on the site. I will be relocating to Oz in the
near future. I know I can apply for the TFN in person once I
arrive, but it would be one less detail to take care of later
if I could do it now. I do have an address of friends in Oz to
which I can have the TFN sent.
