Hi,

Does anyone know how long it usually takes once your visa status says "Application being processed further"? We loaded our medicals, police checks, character checks etc several months ago, but the status changed to above on 9th April. There's nothing outstanding from us as far as I know, and they haven't requested anything additional. So surely that would mean that we should get our visa soon???

The waiting is driving me insane... We're leaving London on the 14th June and landing in Sydney on 16th August so I'm keen to get the movers booked and our life sorted out!

Processed further doesn't really mean anything other than your documents have been put into the system. It's when your status changes to "met" that you have a case officer assigned.

That's right. It could be tomorrow or it could be another year. It depends on what checks need to be done and how long it takes for the information to be verified.

Or...You may not get approval at all! Not everyone who applies is successful in obtaining a visa. The precise reason DIAC says not to do anything permanent, such as quitting jobs or selling property, until a decision is made.

what visa are you going over on? if your on 176 you shouldnt have to wait long, 175 CSL keep your figures really crossed to be processed by June they are only on july to sept by the looks of beupdate, 175 non CSL/modl well you've been a little premature.

as the moderator said you need to have your doucment 'met' or recieve an email from a CO - only this means you have a CO.
