Congratulations ... aj

You'll soon be on your way now, the wait is almost over.

We still haven't had any further news since we got the letter saying DIMIA were handing over to Centrelink for the AOS, this was on Aug 23rd.. they said they would be contacting the assurer in the next couple of weeks ????

We communicted to our assurer that they should be in touch very soon, but as of yet ... nothing !!!!
I see yours was almost a month after the initial letter ( 30 July - 26th Aug )
i hope we get some news soon, i thought we were on a roll !!!
obviously not... fingers crossed it will be in the next couple of weeks .

Because centerlink is new its taken a bit longer plus our assurer did not have to have an interview because we were so far into the process, we hope you have not got much longer to wait, our assurer was hit with a $200.00 charge to sort out the bank paperwork, our agent is looking into it to see if this is what is going to happen to everyone, talk to you soon we have our fingers crossed for you, AJ T

Thanks Aj....

To be honest i don't mind standing a $200.00 charge for the assurer ...maybe this is part of the process now , anything , as long as they just get on and deal with it .

I think i will be contacting my agent on monday to see whats happening.

If it is the same as our agent, because it is all new they have not got a clue,we had to tell our agent that our bond had been asked for and that the bond and assurer had passed the centerlink scheme,we know more than them. you might have a better agent.keep us posted AJ.

Update on my AoS at Centrelink:

07 Aug 2004 DIMIA sent letter saying application now with Centrelink
23 Aug 2004 Assuror receives request for bond payment and interview
30 Aug 2004 Assuror goes to Centrelink with paperwork after paying bond and told they don't need an interview, even though it's on the letter. But all approved OK!

It's now been 5 weeks with Centrelink and my assuror called 10 Sep to be told they were about a week behind, and haven't even sent the stuff back to DIMIA yet :-(

Heard anything yet? It's 10 weeks since it was passed from DIMIA to Centerlink (7th July), the bond was paid in and assuror ok'd on 30 August, but nothing since for me.
