Any change to parents Visa status when having a child here?
Apologies as always if there's a thread about this already but could only find something on the visa status of children, not their parents.
So my question is, I'm across the fact that as Brits with permanent residency here in Australia our child we're expecting next month will be an Australian Citizen, but I was interested to know if this has any impact on the parents visa status? I'm suspecting unlikely, but does it allow the parents any fast track towards citizenship? Or any rights beyond what we currently have as permanent residents?
Any input would as always be greatly appreciated.
