Congratulations S4T!!! That's great news. Really pleased for you.
Hello to Loidy and Myvkee. Great to see you are posting from your new locations. Spring finally seems to be arriving in WA! When we arrived it was really cold, but heating up very nicely now.
Went to the local airport today to enquire about getting a commercial Helicopter license as it is something that I've always fancied doing and with all the changes going on at the moment, one more change, like a career change, could easily just be slipped in without any problems I reckon!

Loidy, quite a place you've bought by the sound of it. Great news. I intended to buy somewhere with land, but once I saw the sun setting over the ocean (something you lot can't do over that side! ) I decided that I would have to settle for a far smaller plot on the ocean front. Just received the settlement papers for signing today. Got to get them back pronto as the settlement agent sat on them for 2 weeks before I phones them to chase it up. All I've got to do now is get a house designed and built. mmm. Now where's that yellow pages book...

hi youcanlaugh...your plot next to the sea sounds great to me, i reckon you could have that and land if you were a multi millionaire!! what type of house will you build, its amazing isn't it, you could build anything you want!!!
we definietly will not be watching the sun set over the ocean but we can watch it rise (if we're keen enough....probably won't happen to often!)
have fun with your helicopter training and house designing, it's so great to be here at last isn't it, i have to keep pinching myself....have fun and hello to everyone else, myvkee you'll be here anyday now, have a great flight, xx loidy

Hi Loidy,
We've got an Architect meeting us at the plot this Friday which I am pretty excited about. He specialises in modern design houses and I am looking forward to chatting over a few ideas with him about how best to position rooms etc to make the most of the views. I've tried drawing a few designs on paper, but they all end up in the bin. We pay for this meeting, but I reckon it will be worth it, even if we end up going with a project build (one of the off plan houses from one of the big building companies) as we will hopefully have a much better idea of what to change, and where to position things.
I whimped out big time yesterday and bought a wet suit... for the swimming pool! It's freezing, but not if you ask my 5 year old. Her confidence is so high in the water recently that I had to get in there with her a few days ago and bits were almost dropping off me. I wore my wetsuit today and managed well over an hour and loved every minute of it. We also bought my 3 year old daughter a little wetsuit and today was the first time she has got into the pool which was great. They've already paid for themselves in my mind.
I agree that it's fantastic to finally be here. Like you, I still have to stop and think about it every now and again just to make sure it is still real. It's fantastic!!!
