Yes youcanlaugh-it is really strange....i am really worried whats going on in DIMIA's tower.
I am still waiting for my AFP to arrive ...and then another waiting game for visa approval...hmmmmmmmmm what to say further....I am really desparate to new ventures in Australia...life seems to be a puzzle !!!

Boy, that username is going to get confusing around here! Welcome to the forums. Glad you found us. It took me 6 months to find them and it was such a relief when I did. You'd be amazed at the support you can get (and hopefully return) on these pages.

Anyway, yes we do have the same CO looking at it. I have heard nothing but good reports about her, but I had trouble getting info from her over the last couple of weeks, but I think she has been off, as before now she has replied very promptly. There is no problems contacting them now I feel. When you phone up the central number, they now say that you are able to chase as you are well over the 50 weeks.

Anyway, I did here from her and I'll post that below so everyone sees it

Hi All,

Well, I received an email from my CO yesterday in reply to my query as to whether there was a problem with my application.

She says that my application is still undergoing the mysterious "internal checks" but she is hopefull they will be completed shortly. Probably not quite as hopeful as I am, but it has put my mind at rest. She stated that the bond request is not necessarily the final stage, which I didn't realise, especially looking at other peoples timelines. Anyway, at least I know that I'm not stuck at the bottom of the pile, or behind a desk, which I was starting to think may be the case. It's been almost 6 weeks now since my 100K bond was opened. Ouch!

"Internal checks" probably means something as simple as waiting on the Manager to sign off on the visa grant. Won't be long now....
