Loidy, have u tried to chase AFP or still like to wait for few more days. i reckon AFP would have got my application by now. would check with them next week or so.

no, can't really chase up until 30 days have passed and ours have only been in for nearly 3 weeks but i'm hopeful they work faster there than at dimia! glad you got all yours in myvkee it really is one of the last big waits we have to do....it won't be long. did you sort out the other stuff??

hey caz76 how is your house selling going, hope it is not too bad. counting down the days at work now, i've got 4 weeks then i'm done, are you still chilling with the yr sixes??

by chasing i meant did u confirm they received your application as they have kinda locked bag address (like PO Box address). Really waiting is almost killing me ...getting all sort of thoughts.....well the paper mixing stunt by DIMIA is still mystery and havnt heard anything from CO, advised by agent to go for medicals n pcc (which i did) and the amedmend will be done during approval, so the bottomline is - i am still awaiting PCC of Oz and S'pore, which might take some time, well seems like nothing is in my hand...becoming like a Puppet dancing to the tune of DIMIA and other authorities. well cant help it , can we ?
Had enough with this waiting game and process delay...hope i get a chance to make DIMIA feel the way they treated we pre-Julyers...

oh god give me strength and patience to hold on for that lovely n cheerful moment and may all our long awaited visas granted soon. amen !

Right... so the 1st July Quota release was all real and the anticipated "avalanche" of Got-It's did truly happen. If you look at other threads and on austimeline, visas were being granted even on Saturday (2nd July), how marvellous!

BUT... the old curse remained unbroken -- yes, Pre-July 2004 -- I dread to even mention this word. NONE of the visas granted were for Pre-July 2004 (I mean since the new quota)

There were unconfirmed rumours that the allocation of visas had been reached its maximum (120,000 I think) for the year 1/7/4-30/6/5. There were very few visa allocations in the last few weeks of June this year.

On 1st July the visa allocations started flowing again, so it looks as though the rumours were correct and that on 1st July 2005 the next years allocation (140,000 this time I think) has started again.

Does this make sense? I haven't bothered reading it back, so let me know if not and I'll explain it slightly differently.

Caz76, do you get the feeling that it's just going to be you and me left on this thread?

It's very annoying yet exciting from here. I really want that visa, but I know I have to wait for the bond people to do the paperwork and send it off (they confirmed they are processing it now - could take up to 5 days), plus my CO is on holiday until next Wednesday which should hopefully tie in rather nicely. I reckon on chasing them next Friday (late night on Thursday 14th for me!)
