Dear Shafqat,

Can you clarify me a bit. My ACS Approval letter says: "Your skills have been assessed and suitable for migration under 2231-79 (.NET Technology Specialist) of ASCO Code"

It means I got MODL under 2231-79. Am I right?
Secondly, In my application form my nominated occupation is "Computing Professionals - Applications and Analyst Programmer"

Is there any problem or I was right in picking up my profession? So last question: am I under CSL?

If you're an IT professional on the MODL, then you will also be on the CSL. Read the MODL list here: http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/gener...-in-demand.htm

Also read this from the same page:

Important: If you nominate one of the above specialist computing occupations, you will only be awarded MODL points if your skills assessment from the relevant Australian assessing body – the Australian Computer Society (ACS) states you have met the criteria to be recognised in one of the above specialisations.

Skills assessments provided to successful applicants will state:

the ASCO Code for Computer Professional not elsewhere classified (nec) with the specialisation stated in brackets - for example, 2231-79 (SAP) and
the statement: 'Based on the provided certified documentation, it is my opinion that the applicant has 12 months experience in (name of specialisation, for example, SAP)'.
Note: If you have a skills assessment which only states the ASCO Code for 'Computer Professional nec 2231-79', you are not eligible to be awarded MODL points. A new assessment with the above information will be required if you wish to claim MODL points.

Sorry, I missed a question:
Did you send your medicals/PCC earlier or will send them now?

If you have added your father, mother and siblings in your migrating dependent or non-migrating dependents then they have to undergo medical examination.

As per DIAC, all dependent family members (migrating or non-migrating) have to undergo medical examinations.

Father, mother and siblings must be added in other family members section.

Hi,

Please update my status:

175 MODL CSL Online application on 29/10/2008
J2EE specialist
HR Country
Meds && PCC not done yet.

Now, my application went to "Application being processed further" state on
22/04/2009. On my document checklist, all the documents are marked as "Met" except the "Copy of your passport Personal Particulars/Photo" which shows state "Requested". Does this mean I am allocated a CO ? I haven't heard from a CO yet, but I was expecting because of the "Requested" State! How long should I wait before I contact DIAC about it ??

Sajid,

What did you select as nominated occupation when submitting immigration application?

Good for you mate, as you can see your status online. I cant because i am paper based. I'm a Dec 2007 applicant from HR country too and early this month, through a call to DIAC, agent was advised that there is a CO allocated and just wait for the email. It has been 3 weeks and no email nor contact yet from DIAC. Without knowing who the assigned CO is, i dont think we can contact them. As Dorothy said, the CO will only get in touch if there are other documents required otherwise, we just have to patiently wait.
