Age limit for visa 45; a query...

From: Brisbane, QLD. (Though an Ulster girl through and through!)











I thought I'd read somewhere on this forum, that so long as you'd submitted your visa application right up til the day before you turn 45, you will still be allocated the visa, or words to that effect. Could somebody shed some light on this for me?

Dunno who to believe now though.
My migration agent said "You must be under 45 at the time that the visa is assessed for it to be granted." [Quote from the email I got] and I've been calculating my timeline according to this info.
If it is as you say though then it does give me a lot more leeway

My migration agent said "You must be under 45 at the time that the visa is assessed for it to be granted." [Quote from the email I got] and I've been calculating my timeline according to this info.
If it is as you say though then it does give me a lot more leeway

We submitted 3 days before OH turned 45yrs (not a planned situation!) and now have our visa - its a submitted (and received by DIAC in their time zone) deadline not granted.

FYI our state sponsorship was granted after OH turned 45yrs!

Yes, my agent also confirmed that the age limit only applies up till the time of lodgement of the visa application. I must have just missunderstood what he meant.
