Hello Guys,

I am having some problems here and hopefully someone will be able to help me. I am looking to have my qualifications assessed with TRA as an Electrical Engineering Technician. I'm planning to apply for South Australia's state nomination, which only seem to require IELTS results for this occupation.

I have a 3 year (full time study) Diploma in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Instrumentation & Control as well as a Pre Engineering certificate. However, my experience, all 7 years post qualification is in ICT. I also have 1 year work experience in the electrical field on a part time basis over a 2 year period.

My question is, what are the odds of me getting a positive assessment from just my qualifications, since most of my experience is not in a closely related occupation?
