Advice----Help me!!!!!
Hello everyone.
I've applied Skilled–Independent immigration to DIMIA on 30/09/2002 in
Korea, and I've got acknowledgement letter few weeks later. And then I
havn't got any information from DIMIA. I have been just waiting some
response from DIMIA almost 1 year.
Should I contact DIMIA or wait more? Which is best?
I would appreciate any help thanks a lot.

Lots of different advice on this one, do a search as this question has been asked many times over the months I have been using this forum.
Skilled Independent is 50 weeks processing, you may just want to contact your case officer and just ask if they need any more information, I would avoid any demanding, rather the can I help you to get any more info you may need it approach, but the choice at the end of the day is yours.

Hi
just call and ask them. They are really nice people who do their job best
they can , I called them 2 or 3 times and nothing bad happened. Just explain
them that you worry - it is obvious that you just want to know

Hi
just call and ask them.
All the time case officers are spending by answering calls and emails from impatient people, they are not processing applications! And considering each case officer is probably dealing with 100+ applications, even if just a small percentage of those cases are contacting him/her, (s)he loses a lot of valuable time each day. If you haven't been waiting more than the quoted processing time yet, don't contact DIMIA. It's that simple. So the original poster should try to be patient at least for a few more weeks...
