Address change & IELTS!!
Dear all,
I have applied under the Skilled-Inpendent category to the ASPC and
have received acknowledgement from them.I have following doubts.
1)Address change: I want to move to another house which is in the next
block. Will the address change be accepted by ASPC? Will this address
change pose problems in my obtaining police clearence?
2)IELTS: When I applied for skill assessment to ACS , I maintained
that since all my education was in english medium (Proof : copies of
secondary school certificates, college semester certificates),I have
good proficiency in English. ACS accepted this and gave approval. On
similar lines , I have submitted the same documents as proof of
english proficiency along with my application. My query is ,do I have
to take an IELTS and have it sent to them??
Thanks
Vasant

Yes it should be accepted. You should be careful that they do
actually amend their records properly. Make sure that mail from your
old address is re-directed.

Depends on your home country ...

ACS do not have an English language requirement.

It depends on what country you were educated in, and what unversity
you attended. Impossible to answer on this forum, other than to say
that many people from certain countries (eg India) are requested to do
IELTS regardless.

Use Form 929 to notify APSC about your new address. You should wait
till you receive your file number from them before you send any
communication to them. Why should your new address pose problems for
your police checks? Are you moving into an al-Qaeda cave or something?

ACS does not validate your English skills. I don't know where you got
that idea from. If your degree is from India, be prepared to sit for
the IELTS test, as you will almost surely be required to do so.
