Default Adding baby to PR app and to Sponsorship

Hi all,

I applied for Skilled Sponsored Aus PR and have recently been asked to
submit PCC and medicals. I was married a while ago and have added my
wife to the app, and ASPC sent us med, PCC forms for both of us. We
recently had a baby and I think I'm clear on what we need to do to add
him to the application itself. But are there additional steps to add
him to the sponsorship?

Specifically, does my sponsor (my aunt) need sign or send in a new
sponsorship form or can ASPC simply add the child?

I've had the baby's medicals done and sent them alongwith form 1022, a
letter to the case officer, photos, birth cert. and his passport bio
pages.

Thanks for your advice.

Hi

Congratulations. Steps are ..

1) Have medicals and x-rays done for mum and child (you can do yours then or before).
3) Send DIMIA a copy of the full birth certificate with both parents names on it.
4) Send DIMIA a letter requesting the child be added to the application as well as two passport photos of the child
5) Get a new passport for the child
6) Have a new sponsorship form completed by the sponsor with the child added.

The actual DIMIA policy is ..

Regulation 2.08 specifies that newborn children are exempt from the sponsorship requirement that applies at time of application. Instead the sponsorship criterion must be met by such children at the time a decision is made on the application. In practice, this means that a new Form 40 also covering the child must be provided by the sponsor.

Thanks Steven for the advice.

The reason I was not sure is that I did not fill out another sponsor
form when I added my wife (assuming that I as the applicant was the
one being sponsored, with my wife as a dependent). DIMIA seemed fine
with that, as they sent back med and police forms for both of us.

I will complete another sponsorship form and send it in just in case.

Cheers - R
