Question ACS - where does the result letter go?

Hi, just wondering really if I should be looking out for a letter coming here or an email from the Agent to say they've got the letter.

Also when you're checking the status there's a line for a registered post number, does that alow you to track it back here or does the letter sometimes come without that part being filled in?

I'm starting to get anxious now that it's changed to with assessor and read that sometimes the letters arrive the following week, which should be this week for me if that's true.

Thanks

Daisy

As you're going through an agent, they will receive the letter for you. If you are continuing to go with your agent then thats probably for the best. However, if you're going on your own after this stage and your agent is based in Australia, you might not see this letter for a few weeks after they get it as they will send all back to you. This is where I am. Held up waiting on this bloody letter.

Thanks Nige, hope your letter comes soon. Did you get your IELTS results at the weekend?

No, I'm in Ireland and so have to wait on the post this week. Are you sticking with your agent?

Yes, we're sticking with them. If I had known about this site before we signed up and paid the money, I would probably have done what you're doing, but I didn't think. Though I keep thinking I'm going to fail the assessment, so we'll just need to wait and see.

Hope your results come in soon, fingers crossed for you.

I noticed you did the IELTS before your skills assessment. Why was that? Was it just while you were preparing your acs application? I think, from what I've read on here, if your case has gone to 'case finalised' before hearing anythign back from your case officer, then you more than likely have passed as they usually request more info if they feel you're lacking something. I'm guesisng you're not going for MODL points?

I did the IELTS because I was worried about not passing and it got it out of the way. Can you tell I'm a worrier? That's another reason for using an agent, takes some of it away about not filling all the paperwork properly.

The ACS changed to With Assessor last week, I checked it on Thursday and hadn't looked for a week so could have changed earlier. How long did yours take to change to Finalised?

Sorry, dont know what MODL points are. The agent never mentioned them.

I'm surprised your agent didnt tell you about MODL points. If your occupation is in high demand in Oz, you get more points and so might have bene able to avoid the IELTS exam. Maybe your agent knows that your occupation could definitely not pass as one of them. What is your occupation anyway?

My app took about 2 days to change to from assesor to case finalised but it had passed on 21dec and case finalised on 28th dec. So, I'd say you've already passed and dont know it.

That sounds scary if they've already made a decision and I dont know about it. Why cant they just send an email with the answer in it and take all worry away! Anyway, as long as the end is in sight I guess it's not so bad.

I'm a Database Analyst and always thought they would be looking for people more specialised, like Oracle, Network Security, etc. so was really surprised when the agent said I would be okay, but still doubt it to be honest. What about you, was the RPL process hard?
