Default ACS Skills Assessment - RPL which form?

Hi all

My other half is trying to fill out forms to get his skills assessed by the ACS. Trouble is I have downloaded a set of forms and so has he.

Mine Says Application for Skills Assessment (Migration Puropses only) and his says Membership Board Recognition of Prior Learning Application Form.

Does he need to fill in both of them or just one? If only one is needed which one?

Can anyone tell us please

Thanks for your help

Shirley

Hi Shirley

The 1st form you mentioned is for all skills assessment applicants.

The 2nd form you mentioned is only for those seeking Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

Hope this helps...

My wife is our lead applicant and she has a degree in Software Engineering, we have been advised that because she has the degree she completes the Skills Assessment form and not the RPL...

The RPL is for people in the IT profession who have no formal qualifications (that’s me!) and just years of valuable experience...

I'm pretty sure this is accurate! I hope so; we've just sent the application back!!!

Thanks guys

After reading both of those I think we are going to be filling out both. He has no tertiary quals but loads of experience. It is made a little harder by the fact he was in the army for 22 years and as well as us moving around a lot, so have the people who he worked under.

Ah well, deep breath and here goes.

Thanks again
