Exclamation ACS-Network Administrator-Group B

Hi All,

I was planning on applying for migration to Aus, Im brother is there but I want to apply under Independent Visa. I have been working from age 16 for my dad's company and for the past three years I have been working in a international organisation as a Network Administrator and Consultant Trainer. by the way im 24yrs old. I dont have Acedemic qualifiations like a Degree..... Im also a Active Associate Member in Australian computer society

I have MCSE, MCSA, MCT, MCITP, MCSD, MCDST, CCNA, CCNP, CEH,..

Can I apply under Group B, will my experience from age 16 taken into consideration. Since it is my fathers company what sort of details should I provide as proof.

Regards

Hi John,

Your MCSE, MCITP and MCSD would each be satisfactory for a Group B assessment. Very difficult however to claim that you were working at a professional level from age 16. Worth remembering that the ACS regards professional communications and ethics as important parts of being an IT professional, not enough to be an ubergeek. Might also be hard to prove you were paid a professional salary if working for your dad. But as you'd only need six years of employment proof you only need proof from age 18, that might help.

Cheers,

George Lombard
