Default ACS current guidelines query

Hi, hopefully one of you can answer a quick query regarding skills assessment by the ACS.

I was just wondering what the difference was between the Group B work experience requirement and the Group C RPL requirement in terms of proving your experience?
In other words do you have to put together an RPL application to qualify for the non-RPL Group B route in order to prove your experience?

Group B, Group C and RPL are totally different sub-groups within the ACS assessment regime; each with their own distinct work experience requirements.

If you are applying under RPL, you are assessed against the RPL work experience requirements - either 6 or 8 years of professional fulltime IT work experience. Don't underestimate the need for work experience to be "professional" - many applicants misjudge their work experience's "professional"-ity.

If you need more clarity on your own specific eligibility on RPL, I'd suggest you consult a registered agent who is well versed in RPLs.

I'm hoping to go Route B rather than rpl. Excluding the length of time I was wondering if the experience content would need to be the same.

BTW my initial post should have said RPL, not Group C RPL, I do realise the difference, apologies.

Work experience quality is the same for Groups A, B and RPL. Difference is quantity (duration).

Do you have a Gruop B qualification?

OK so you still have to do the project reports and everything like that for Grp B? I was kind of hoping Group B would be easier than RPL due to my MCSE.

NO, you dont have to do projects for group B, just provide qualifications and extensive references and job descriptions etc..
