Default ACS Assessment( Standard or RPL)

Hi,

Today whole day I was browsing this forum.

Got confuse....Can anybody assist me to clarify?

I'm Masters in Science from reputed university and also holding few certificates from Microsoft (MCSE and MCDBA) and Sun (SCSA).
I'm having 6 years of IT experience and my skill is listed in MODL.

1. Which one should I go for standard assessment or RPL or Both?
2. How much fees do I have to pay?

Thanks

1. Standard assessment, as you have MSCE. Or RPL. Never both.

2. http://www.acs.org.au/ has the ACS guidelines for assessment for migration. I suggest you download the document and have a good read.

MSc in what area? If it's CompSci or CIS, then you should be able to go
with the "standard" approch. If you degree is not related to the general IT
field, then you most likely will have to do RPL.

Alternately, if your MSc is in an engineering area, you may consider going
through IEAust.

Careful about the MODL. It's been the Incredible Shrinking List. If your IT
skill is listed today, it may be gone tomorrow - and then you can no longer
claim your points, *even* if you had already applied before they removed
your skill from the list.

Everything else is listed on the ACS website. Google for it.

Mike,

IEAust generally assesses an applicant's undergraduate qualification. Postgraduate qualifications play only a persuasive role.
