Acknowledgement from DIMIA after how long?
Hi everybody,
I sent of my 136 Skilled Indep MODL visa application on 22 June 2006.
Now I am waiting for Acknewledgement. I see from prevoius threads that
ASPC is taking 26 days in sending the Ack. Whats this? Is that DIMIA
has silenlty added ONE more month is the process?. Since MODL means 6
months to decide, I belive six months after Ack. So sending Ack after a
month DIMIA has very smartly added one more month in the waiting, So
following the law and coping with a heavy load of applications?. Am I
right? Please correct me if I am becoming too rediculous. Thanks.

First, take a deep breath... count to 10, then breathe out... Better?
Usually acknowledgement takes between 7 days to a month depending on DIMA's workload...
Don't worry about the acknowledgement date though. The day that your documents arrives in DIMA is usually counted as your application date. Six months (if need be), will be counted from that date.
The "fun" is just starting... After getting your acknoledgement, it'll be at least 3 to 4 months before you hear anything from DIMA. To remind sane, I suggest you join the rest of the June applicants in the June thread:

i applied to DIMIA on 26 may,06 and still not got my ack..letter to date......they are taking too much time .......lets play there waiting game

As I posted in the below mentioned thread of yours, my friend's 136 MODL application was received by the ASPC on 25th May. He received the acknowledgement June 17th.

i applied on 26 may but my case will be received by ASPC on 5 or 6 june , 06 coz postal take 8-9 days to reach ..........is ack...is issued to people who has applied on 5-6 june,06 .........
Or i need to worry

Our visa application was sent off by our agent on 1st June, the bank draft was cashed on 15th June, so at least I know that they've received it.
All we have got to do now is wait and wait and wait.
Oh and I forgot we'll have to wait some more.
