About Assessment From Acs
HELLO
I have already filled up the ACS skill assessment Apllication, but before I send it to ACS, I would like to have some experts to take a look at my details.
Here is my details...
I graduated on May 2001 from UC in MIS.
I started working as a helpdesk for a consulting firm while I was in my sophomore year, then I was promoted to system consultant on march 2000 and I am still with this company.
Would I be able to secure 10 pts from ASC for specific work experience If I send my application right now?
your help would be greatly appreciated.Thankx
Lupe

Re: About Assessment From Acs
have you actually read the free booklet on DIMA website?
To get 10 points you require at least 3 years out of the last 4 relevant experience, and it is less than 2 years since you graduated.
Even if you waited another year does not mean that you will get this as ACS will give a deeming date. In our case the first four years out of over 7.5 yrs of working for the same company progressing within the same department, were not counted.

Hi Lupe,
I am sorry to say that it seems most likely you will not even be approved by
ACS. In addition to your MIS you will need four years' work experience in
IT. Read the ACS guidelines before you apply.
Cheers
