I was wondering if anyone could help me with a question I had .. I currently have a 457 visa for Australia .. March, next year, the 457 expires .. my lawyer has filed my case and I go on a bridging visa .. this is the “remaining relative” stream, with a waiting period of 16 years .. suppose I get the BVA when my 457 expires .. can I go overseas on a BVA or BVB and just stay abroad till my 835 decision is made .. (which they're estimating at 16 years) .. I would need to come back for when it's issued .. perhaps I can come back on a visit visa? .. but what I'm really asking is if I leave on a BVA or BVB and not come back to Australia .. does that cancel my 835 application?
